Alot of times it does not and here is my findings:Sometimes when you click it. And your not in the center of that small box that highlights just before you click it, you go nowhere, and you can click it this way 3, 4 many times more with the same results. The wrong way is simply frustrating.I find it sometimes works. You are on MSN, possibly 3/4 of the way down massive screen and click onto a news story, then when done attempt to hit back button you go back to where you were on screen. If this does not work you hit home and end up at top of screen and have to take the time to find where you were.Sounds petty, but it is certainly a timesaver if you have limited amount of time to do something like this.
